General Event Questions

 

Is there parking? 

The closest parking lot is Lot A. The parking rate is $23 for up to 16 hours and $36 from 16 to 24 hours. There are no in-and-out privileges.

Can I bring an animal?

How to register Free Tickets?

I have not registered and thinking to come just for day two, is this possible? 

Yes, you can register even if you only plan to come for the afternoon. We have a jam-packed agenda and the exhibition will run until 4.30pm.

Do you accept registrations on the day? 

You can register at the show. However, to avoid queues, we do advise that you register before arriving at the show.

Why haven't I received an email confirming my registration? 

Within 10 minutes of registering, you should receive a confirmation email with a unique registration code from the email address chicagobuild@circdata.com. If you haven't received an email, please get in touch with marketing@chicagobuildexpo.com

Why haven’t I received my ticket through the post?

Ticket details are sent by email from chicagobuild@circdata.com. Using your registration code, you will be able to collect your ticket at the registration desk outside Hall C1 on either day of the show. We do not send tickets by post.

Can I edit my badge details? 

Yes, you can do so upon arrival at the registration desk.

Can I change the email address my ticket is registered to? 

Yes. If you have entered any incorrect details when registering or if you would like to change the email address to which the confirmation email is sent, please let us know and we will get this sorted for you.

 

VIP Tickets

 

How do I register for a VIP ticket? 

When registering online for your badge, you will be given the option to register for a free ticket or VIP pass.

What extras do VIP receive? 

Those that have registered for a FREE ticket will have access to the full conference, exhibition, workshops and networking event. VIP ticket will receive the below extras: 

•Download the Conference presentations after Chicago Build (providing incredible insight from a huge range of Conference speakers

•The opportunity to download the Training Workshops after Chicago Build

•Exclusive access to the VIP room at Chicago Build with business facilities and incredible networking opportunities

•Complimentary drink vouchers at Chicago Build

•Complimentary catering in the VIP room

Conferences and Workshops

 

What time do the conferences and workshops start? 

Day 1: Conference and workshop sessions run from 10:00AM and finish at 05.30PM.

Day 2: Conference and workshop session run from 10:00AM until  4.00PM.

Which sessions are accredited?

All training workshops are AIA CES accredited to aid your professional development. For the full schedule, please refer to the conference program tab.

How many learning units can I get from the workshop sessions? 

Each workshop session is worth 1 learning unit. They will need to scan in before each session to receive accreditation for each workshop session.

Are conference sessions accredited by the AIA? 

No, but all workshop sessions are AIA CES approved. Two workshop tracks will take place simultaneously at the expo. A full list of the accredited sessions can be found here. Accredited workshops will also be listed in the printed show guide on the day.

The Workshops are AIA CES Approved – what does this mean and how does this work? 

AIA CES has accredited all of our training workshops. You are free to attend each of the workshops. Each session equates to a single AIA LU or LU/HSW credit, which can be added to one’s portfolio.

You must be scanned in at every workshop you attend to receive your accreditation. We will send you a certificate of attendance for each of the sessions that you have attended within 10 working days after the show.

I’m not a registered AIA member, can I still receive credits? 

A certificate of participation for each session that you attend will be sent to you within two weeks of the show.

Where networking events are taking place?

It takes place at the Networking Hub at the venue.

Do I need to reserve a place to attend the networking session?

No. However, seating is allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis. We therefore advise that you refer to the program and arrive at each session promptly.

Is there a charge to attend? 

The 2-day networking events are free to attend for all visitors. Session attendance will operate on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please refer to the program and ensure that you arrive 5 minutes prior to these starting times.

• If I just registered for a networking event, can I attend Chicago Build expo? 

Yes, as long as you’ve registered for any of the events taking place within the expo, you will be able to gain entry into the expo for free. All the conference sessions, workshops and networking events are free to attend within the event.

Data Collection

 

Where can I find the floor plan/exhibitor list? 

The full exhibitor list can be viewed here. To request a floor plan, please contact marketing@chicagobuildexpo.com. The final exhibitor list and floor plan will also be listed in the printed guide handed out on the day.

Are the conference or workshop presentations available to download after the event? 

Conference and workshop presentations are only available to download for those registered with a VIP ticket.

Do you have a list of attendees you can send me? 

No. We cannot distribute this list.

No. We cannot distribute contact details.

Please be aware that Chicago Build Expo has been targeted by groups trying to take advantage of the event’s size and continued success. Some exhibitors are receiving numerous phone calls and e-mail messages from individuals not affiliated with the event who are offering various services from:

  • Unknown stand contractors and event suppliers.
  • Fake exhibition directories.
  • Fake event attendee contact information and data.
  • Travel/hotel arrangements and transportation services.

Chicago Build Expo and its official suppliers NEVER sell their visitor lists or exhibitor info. Organisations offering attendee lists or other services, that are not in the approved list are 100% NOT affiliated with the exhibition in any way.
