Suzan Sun-Yuan brings her extensive experience in the design of commercial, institutional, and educational facilities to ESD’s mission to improve society through the built environment. She has served as a trusted and respected point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors with responsibility for design quality assurance, coordination of the project team, and scheduling of phases. Suzan has group level responsibility for technical risk management and is heavily engaged with engineers to ensure projects are technically sound and conform to QA/QC procedures. She also ensures individuals in the group receive technical mentoring, professional development opportunities, and contribute to firm-wide development. Suzan holds a Master of Science degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, Illinois. She also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Thermal Engineering from Tongji University, Shanghai, China. Suzan is also fluent in Mandarin Chinese and is a regular contributor to professional publications as well as industry event presentations.
