Steve has been with Mortenson since the onset of his career and is currently Director of Business Development in our Chicago office. Steve leads the Chicago office’s business development strategy and drives our vision for the success and growth. He identifies and develops new business opportunities as well as grows relationships with key customers and partners.

Steve is passionate about positioning Mortenson as a long-term partner and has been instrumental in developing meaningful relationships with customers here in Illinois. He has played an integral role on numerous projects including the Chicago Bears Halas Hall Addition & Renovation project, the Mercyhealth Javon Bea Hospital & Physician Clinic, and multiple projects for Allstate. Most recently, he served as campus executive at a hyper-scale data center project in Utah.

Steve holds a bachelor's degree in construction management from North Dakota State University.
