Shannon Roberts is a leader for Jacobs’ urban design practice.  She has extensive experience working on interdisciplinary teams specializing in sustainable design, physical planning, urban design and infrastructure.  With over 15 years of experience, Shannon’s portfolio includes local, national, and international projects ranging from urban infill projects to large regional and campus master plans.  Combining creative thinking and analytical skills to capitalize on opportunities and mitigate challenges, Shannon routinely influences the design process, resulting in projects that bring added benefits to both her clients and the greater community.  

As the Partnerships chair for the American Planning Association’s Sustainable Communities Division, she is responsible for the annual symposium and cultivating partnerships with like-minded institutions to promote sustainable communities.  She has been an active member of CREW for nearly a decade, first on the Co-Chair for CREW DC’s Programs Committee and currently as a member for WCREW’s Programs Committee. 

Shannon is an AICP certified planner, Project Management Professional (PMP) and LEED AP BD+C.  She earned a Master of Science in Urban Planning from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from the University of Michigan.  Shannon is an enrolled member of the Oneida Tribe of Indians of Wisconsin.
