Sarah White

Lakefront Planning Coordinator, Chicago Park District

Sarah White is a landscape architect and urban planner. Since growing up as a child in suburban Minneapolis she has always felt a keen connection with “place,” and when in college she learned that there was a whole profession dedicated to genius loci, she was hooked. Since then, she’s spent time building a career as a planner and a landscape architect in Chicago (a city with genius loci to spare). Sarah has a BS in Landscape Architecture from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and a Masters of Urban Planning and Policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She received her professional landscape architecture license in 2013 and has been a certified planner since 2012. Sarah currently works at the Chicago Park District as Lakefront Planning Coordinator and is President Elect of the Illinois Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects. Sarah is mom to a super toddler and is thriving on the excitement of living in and working to improve a city she loves.
