Sam served honorably on active duty in the US Air Force during Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Sam is a graduate of University of Illinois at Chicago College of Engineering with a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering and brings more than 20 years of experience in Professional Engineering consulting services. Sam is an Illinois licensed Professional Electrical Engineer in Power Distribution Systems. Sam started his architectural/MEP Engineering firm, Virtual Energy Solutions (VES), on February 10th, 2014, and has grown his firm to a staff of nineteen as of August 2023. VES is certified with Department of Veterans Affairs, Illinois Central Management Services, and Cook County as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE).
