Ryan is an Associate Principal in the Arup Acoustics, Audiovisual, Theatre and Experience Design discipline team. He provides consulting expertise across many market sectors targeting outcomes where the aural environment contributes to health, wellness, and enhanced experiences. He has served on the LEED IEQ technical advisory group to develop and refine acoustic credits and contributed to numerous sustainable projects.

He contributes to the operation and development of the Arup SoundLab, a virtual reality room where clients can experience in 3-D an existing or future acoustic environment. The SoundLab is used for a wide array of applications to support designing for wellness, including soundscaping – an aural rendering process to experience environments and design options that influence auditory performance.
