Rick Moeckel is an executive vice president and shareholder at Clayco, a full-service design-build firm. He has been at Clayco for 22 years, where he began his trajectory as a project engineer straight out of college. Rick is responsible for management of the Institutional Business Unit and the success of projects from both the Team and Owner’s perspectives. By being proficient in all aspects of design and construction, Rick can stay involved throughout the projects he works on. He is known for his commitment to building lasting relationships while providing clients with timely, high-quality, and on-budget solutions. Rick is devoted to helping with Clayco’s Construction Career Development Initiative (CCDI) , which aims to increase diversity in the design and construction industry by mentoring and exposing minority students to career development in construction. As a hand-on mentor, Rick often checks in with both of his mentees, CCDI scholarship recipients at Missouri Western, Rick’s alma mater.   Rick’s favorite statement: “The time is always right to do what is right.” – Martin Luther King, Jr.
