Patrick Carata joined Epstein in 2018, bringing over 20 years of design experience. In his role as Design Director, he navigates a diverse spectrum of project typologies, including retail, office, hotels, multi-family residential, and mixed-use high-rise developments. He recently guided a winning competition proposal through the city of Chicago's Department of Planning and Development (DPD) to breathe new life into a sprawling five-hundred-thousand-square-foot historic warehouse nestled within Chicago’s McKinley Park. The building will be repurposed into a dynamic hub encompassing retail, residential, and office space. Additionally, Patrick is leading the firm’s efforts to integrate AI tools to craft efficient, sustainable, and high-performing building designs.
