Maurice J. Robinson is the Senior Aide to Mayor Brandon Johnson. His innate passion for diversity and culture began as an advisory board member for the R.Ed.I Arts and Education Foundation. This afforded him transparent conversations with community and political stakeholders to provide inclusive and accountable programming for under resourced communities. He has worked on numerous federal, state, and municipal campaigns creating outreach strategies, later joining the American Federation Teachers. Maurice has also worked with Lakeside Alliance as their Diversity and Inclusion Lead. Lakeside Alliance is the builder of the Obama Presidential Center. He is a 2019 Chicago United for Equity Fellow and a certified construction manager by The Turner School of Construction Management. His works have been featured in local and national media including Al Jazeera, CBS, WBEZ, and ABC.
