Lori Chandler AIA

Senior Technical Architect, Vice President, Epstein Architecture, Engineering and Construction

Lori is a licensed architect with 22 years of experience in the architecture industry.   She is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign with a Master of Architecture, Master of Science in Civil Engineering (Construction Management focus), and a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies.  She currently works at Epstein, a 102 year old A/E and construction company headquartered in Chicago, where she holds the position of Vice President, Senior Technical Architect.  She is responsible for quality procedures and processes as well as technical review of the varied types of projects at Epstein. 

Prior to her current role, Lori has served as a project architect on a number of industrial projects, including manufacturing/process facilities as well as warehouse and distribution centers.  Her portfolio also includes large, complex projects such as convention and exhibition centers, airports, casinos, distilleries, shopping centers, high rise, and the renovation/rehabilitations of hospitals.  Smaller projects in her Portfolio includes Chicago Public School work, Capital Development Board work, dispensaries, hotels, retail, residential and offices.

Lori is active in several organizations including the Construction Quality Executives Council.  She actively participates assisting municipal authorities including the Chicago Code Modernization process for the Chicago Building Code and she currently serves on the Fire Board of Appeals and the Permanent Building and Fire Code Committee for Aurora Illinois.
