Laura Jay serves as a Regional Director for North America at C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group. In this role, she works with cities in the US and Canada to help advance climate actions, from policies to mitigate emissions to strategies for adapting to climate impacts. Previously, Laura served the Land Use Planning Network Manager at C40 where she worked with urban planners from cities around the world on policies to address climate change. Prior to joining the C40, Laura served as a Project Manager at Terrapin Bright Green where she consulted to government agencies, developers and non-profits to create more sustainability policies and designs. She has also worked at the U.S. Green Building Council on governance and strategic planning. Laura has a Masters degree in Urban Planning from Columbia University in New York and a Bachelor's degree from Wheaton College in Massachusetts.
