John is a professional VDC Manager with over 16 years of real world experience in the world of BIM, MEP Coordination, and Virtual Design in Construction. With a background in the electrical trades, John began his career in South East Michigan working primarily on projects in the health care and education sectors. John relocated to the Chicago area in 2014 where he had the opportunity to expand his portfolio into other areas such as high rise construction, data centers, and critical infrastructure. Currently, John is a VDC Manager for Clayco Construction in Chicago. He is an experienced BIM Coordinator and VDC Engineer, a licensed drone pilot, and an expert in laser scanning and reality capture, among many other talents. His primary focus with his career is pushing the limits of VDC and developing innovations to help add value throughout the entire project life cycle.
