Jennifer Skowlund is an Associate Principal for SOM Chicago’s Architecture and City Design Practice. She has spent her career navigating the balance between intelligent urban design and high-quality architecture. With over 15 years of experience in both architecture and urban design, Jennifer has led numerous large-scale, mixed-use urban redevelopment projects around the country, as well as many campus planning initiatives for higher education clients including, Harvard University, University of Chicago, and the University of California.

Notably, Jennifer is currently working on the 70-acre Lincoln Yards development leading the design, community engagement and entitlement efforts with Chicago developer, Sterling Bay. Other ongoing projects she is working on include the Nashville Riverside master plan, the 305 S.
