Ines Llopart is the Global Urban Design & Planning Specialist at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. With more than a decade of experience in assisting design firms create communication plans, marketing strategies, and business plans, Ines combines her AEC experience and industry knowledge with her marketing and business development know-how, working with leadership across multiple disciplines and geographies to create bespoke value propositions and help achieve business goals. A strong believer in the influence design has in our everyday lives, Ines focuses on the City Design Practice, designing new, vibrant districts both nationally and internationally. Her passion for a more equitable future motivated Ines to join the SOM's Chicago Women’s Initiative, as well as SOM's Equitable Action Firmwide Committee. Ines also volunteers her time as the Chicago Women in Architect (CWA) Programming Chair, supervising all annual event calendars, cultivating relationships with AEC partners, such as firms, vendors, or contractors, to organize events aligned with the CWA's mission.
As a more diverse student body graduates from Architecture & Engineering schools, we have the responsibility to create paths to leadership for women and people of color by promoting the work of diverse leadership in our industry and providing equitable paths to fulfilling career development.
