Holly Pepper

Electrical Engineer, ESD Global

Holly Pepper works in ESD’s commercial buildings sector as an Electrical Engineer, bringing her enthusiasm for art and engineering on projects. She brings a diverse project experience, having worked on projects in Chicago, Turkey, Colombia, and across the US; most notably Lincoln Yards, New Istanbul International Airport, and Jushi Medical Growing Facility Expansion. She received her Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering in 2018 from the Illinois Institute of Technology where she discovered her passion for seeing women in STEAM and women in power. She is an active member and participant in Professional Women in Construction (PWC), Ace Mentor Program, and Women Build, and holds a board position with Expanding Your Horizons Chicago (EYH). Her wanderlust takes her to new cafes to write and on as many planes as her PTO (and global pandemics) allows.

Statement:

Representation is one of our biggest hurdles and greatest assets in the success of women in construction. There still, unfortunately, exist today biases in the workplace; it is by our lifting each other up and unabashed presence in the industry, publication, and media that we dismantle these notions. It is representation that allows girls to see themselves in us and say “I can too be a Woman in Construction”.
