Hamees Gabr
Hamees Gabr graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s of Architecture from the Bernard and Anne Spitzer School of Architecture at CCNY. Hamees became a founding board member of the organization "Future Architects of the Middle East.” She has professional and intellectual goals as an emerging architect, researcher, and educator. She is pursuing an Urban Design degree at Harvard's Graduate School of Design with the hopes of later pursuing a doctorate. Since Gabr was young, she has wanted to be an architect to promote social change, reshape boundaries, and build a better world for the future.
Statement:
I believe the future of architecture must be led by architects who embrace cultural diversity as a core strength of the discipline. As an Egyptian American woman, I have advocated tirelessly for cultural diversity in my design work and my extracurricular activities at the Harvard Graduate School of Design.
