Statement:

Chicago Build is an exciting opportunity to visibly support and promote diversity, equity and inclusion in the construction industry. After all, women only represent about 10% of the people in construction, and only 1% of field workers. The vast majority of construction is for people through housing and infrastructure (as opposed to commercial sites),. It is crucial that the workforce represent the demographics of the public we serve. I am passionate about driving diversity, equality and inclusion of all kinds throughout the industry because it's the right thing to do, and because diverse companies are more profitable. A win-win..
