Candice Watkins
Candice Watkins is employed at the University of Chicago as Assistant Zone Manager of Engineering for North Campus. In her position, she’s responsible for assisting in leadership overseeing staff responsible for the maintenance and operation of HVAC and other building systems for critical research laboratories, office space, and classroom space of over 50 buildings of various ages and complexities. Although starting her position in late 2021, she’s already made a big impact in her department and has become an asset within Facilities Services. Her hard work and dedication to develop as a professional landed her a nomination and acceptance into the University of Chicago Executive Program for Emerging Leaders (EPEL). As a member of the 2022-2023 cohort, Candice will be provided actionable frameworks to enhance her leadership skills. Prior to the University of Chicago, she worked various roles within Facilities Operations/Construction Trades for Chicago Public Schools, City of Chicago, and Chicago Park District. As a passionate facilities management professional with over 14 years of experience, Candice looks forward to excelling in her field.
