I from the west side of Chicago. I was shot in the head at the age of 20 and lost an eye. I was told the I couldn’t work, but got an opportunity to join the Chicago regional council of carpenters(union carpenter). The first thing I notice that there wasn’t many African Americans in the union. The second thing is that I couldn’t find a job in the union for many years no one would give me chance. I finally found work and been with the same company for 12 years(present day). But I vowed to start my own company and teach carpentry to the urban community where I came from cause all we need is an opportunity. My buds BC Chicago Carpenters LLC is for the ones who just need an opportunity to show their talent.
