Vuk Vujovic, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, WELL AP, Fitwel Ambassador, is a Chicago-based architect and sustainability professional with over 25 years of broad professional experience in high-performance building planning, design and construction. His focus is on architectural research and design, aimed at holistic integration of sustainability, building energy efficiency and renewable energy with resiliency, climate action planning and occupant health and wellbeing.
Over the last decade, Vuk led successful planning and design of high-performance, sustainable facilities for education, ranging from sustainable campus master planning to new construction and existing building renovation. His hey projects include several academic success centers, one-stop student enrolment centers, student tutoring and faculty commons. Vuk was involved in the development of advanced learning facilities designed to actively promote human health and wellbeing and eliminate physical and technological barriers to student success on college and university campuses.
Vuk is a co-chair of the AIA Chicago Education Knowledge Community (KC), an active member of the Society for College and University Planning (SCUP), a member of the International Living Future Institute, a member of the Illinois Green Alliance, and a former Chair of the AIA Chicago’s Committee on the Environment (COTE). He regularly contributes to industry publications and has spoken extensively to audiences on a variety of sustainability, health and wellness topics in conferences and events in the US and around the World.
