Vladislav has more than 30 years of experience advising healthcare and life sciences organizations in the United States and globally. His work spans strategy, planning and design, with a focus on aligning the built environment with clinical performance, operational efficiency and long-term business objectives. Emphasizing analytical rigor and empathetic approach, Vladislav helps clients navigate complexity while improving the care experience.

Based in Chicago, Vladislav is focused on growing and strengthening HDR’s healthcare design practice. He collaborates closely our leaders across our health, science and technology, education, civic, transportation and urban development practices to deliver integrated solutions informed by data, research and emerging models of care. He also plays an active role in mentoring teams, sharing his experience to develop future leaders and advance healthcare design.

Vladislav’s background includes strategic and facilities master planning, complex acute care, academic medical centers, cancer care, population health and national healthcare systems. He has led work for a wide range of prominent organizations, including WakeMed Hospitals and Health, Advocate Health, University of Texas Southwestern, Northwestern Medicine, Beaumont Health, The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

An engaged industry leader, Vladislav serves on the National Advisory Board for the Healthcare Facilities Symposium and Expo and on the board of the Association of Medical Facility Professionals, where he chairs the Research and Education Committee. Through thought leadership, mentorship and service, he advocates for empathetic, evidence-based healthcare environments that improve outcomes for patients, families and care teams.
