Suzanne Provanzana
Suzanne Provanzana is a Principal at Buro Happold, a member of the firm’s Chicago leadership team, and the U.S. Structures Discipline Leader. With more than 27 years of structural engineering experience, she has led the design and delivery of complex projects. Suzanne’s portfolio includes large-scale new construction and adaptive reuse developments across a variety of sectors. Her engineering work in adaptive reuse includes the Book Tower projects in Detroit and the Palmolive Building, Lookingglass Theater, and Daily News Building in Chicago. Suzanne combines deep technical knowledge with strong project leadership to deliver innovative, practical solutions that support project goals and long-term building performance. Committed to advancing the local AEC community, Suzanne serves on the Executive Committee of the Chicago Chapter of the Council on Vertical Urbanism (CVU) and on the Sustainable Design Committee of SEAOI. She is a licensed Professional Engineer, Structural Engineer, and LEED Accredited Professional whose thought leadership has been featured in national and international publications, including Modern Steel Construction, STRUCTURE, and publications of the American Bar Association.
