Rose is a licensed Architect and LEED accredited professional who provides sustainability consulting and project management at dbHMS. With over fifteen years of experience in sustainable design, Rose assists project teams seeking LEED certification for projects ranging from new construction to commercial interiors and core and shell developments. Working with architects, engineers, contractors, and developers, she guides the LEED documentation process from registration through final certification targeting cost-effective strategies to achieve credits. This work is complemented by her experience conducting full reviews of projects submitted to the USGBC for certification. Rose has acquired over $600,000 in grants from the Illinois Clean Energy Community Foundation for two projects seeking LEED Certification and assists with maximizing cost-recovery for sustainable and high performance projects. Rose enjoys working in higher education projects and with developers on mixed use buildings including Studio Gang-designed Campus North Residential Commons at the University of Chicago and is currently working on Vista Tower, Chicago’s third tallest skyscraper.
Prior to joining dbHMS, Rose worked in architectural design at Farr Associates in Chicago as a project manager for projects ranging from multi-family residential to commercial interiors and adaptive reuse. Two notable projects in Chicago, the Charles H. Shaw Technology and Learning Center and Environmental Law and Policy Center, both achieved LEED Platinum certification from the USGBC. Outside of the office, Rose volunteers on the building committee for an international non-profit organization to coordinate the design and construction of a $30M national headquarters in Lisle, IL.
