Nisha joined Thornton Tomasetti’s Sustainability group in 2022, after completing her masters in a High-performance buildings program at the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT), Chicago. Before TT, Nisha held a bachelor’s degree in architecture from India and worked as an Architect for 7 years. During this time, a lot of her focus was on building envelope design, occupant health and wellness and biophilic design, which led to her develop passion for sustainability. Since joining TT, she has worked on a number of projects aiming to realize their sustainability and decarbonization goals and has done extensive research in the energy efficiency of kinetic facades and low carbon materials such as steel and biomaterials. Her expertise in the industry spans from renovations to new constructions, for commercial, residential, educational and research facilities
