Dr. Mueller is a Structural Fire Engineer and Protective Design Consultant specializing in extreme loading such as fire, blast, and impact. He is actively involved in and managed projects across almost all practice sectors, including the Department of State, Department of Defense, Department of Energy, Department of Veteran Affairs, Department of Housing and Urban Development, PANYNJ, Chicago Department of Aviation, Chicago Transit Authority, Amtrak, Smithsonian, and various confidential private clients. Kevin is an Associate member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Fire Protection of Structures technical committee, voting member and previous chair of American Concrete Institute (ACI) 216 Fire Protection standards committee, and voting member of ACI 133 (Disaster Reconnaissance), ACI 370 (Blast and Impact Load Effects), and ACI 562-F (Repair - fire subcommittee). He is a licensed professional engineer in Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin and a certified Physical Security Professional by ASIS International.
