Joseph ChuenHuei Huang, PhD, AIA is a Principal Architect and BIM & Innovation Leader at Stantec with 30 years of experience advancing digital delivery across the AEC industry. A licensed architect and recognized BIM strategist, he has led BIM and digital transformation initiatives on major building, infrastructure, and energy projects worldwide, including the Panama Canal Third Set of Locks. Joseph specializes in BIM, digital project delivery, immersive collaboration, and emerging technologies that improve project performance and team coordination. He is a published co-author of Industry 4.0 for the Built Environment and author of Participatory Design for Prefab House, and a frequent speaker at Autodesk University (AU), BILT, Chicago Build, SAME, and other international industry conferences. He also served as an XR (Extended Reality) adjunct professor at Northwestern University, helping students explore the practical application of immersive technologies in design and construction. Through his work, Joseph helps organizations bridge the gap between technology and practice, enabling teams to adopt digital workflows, XR collaboration, AI-enabled solutions, and data-driven project delivery. He is passionate about shaping the future of connected, collaborative, and digitally enabled project delivery.
