Since 2001, John has supported clients in shaping strategies for health and sustainability. Work for major architecture and engineering firms equips John with a holistic understanding of the built environment. His professional focus has been on health in design, from air quality, through materials health and transparency, and biophilia. He is recognized as a LEED Fellow, one of the first RESET APs, is a member of the WELL Material Concept Advisory, is Living Future Accredited and a trained Living Building Challenge auditor on behalf of ILFI. He promotes health in design through his roles as a Fitwel Ambassador and WELL Faculty. With John's support, design and construction teams, as well as corporate and manufacturer clients, are able to minimize their impact and promote positive change within their projects, organizations and stakeholder groups. John’s work includes dozens of LEED projects, and the first dual-certified LEED v4 Gold/WELL Gold project in the world. His work currently includes projects pursuing zero energy and embodied carbon goals.
