Gerri Harris
Gerri Harris is the area director of community impact and engagement at Gilbane Building Company, where she leads efforts to create opportunities for historically underrepresented businesses in the Chicagoland area. She has driven company growth in local diversity
initiatives, overseeing projects like Bally’s Chicago Temporary Casino and leading Gilbane’s Rising Contractor Program. During Gerri’s nearly two-decade tenure as executive ambassador of construction diversity and inclusion at MGM Resorts International, she helped position the company as a top diversity leader, earning a 14-year consecutive ranking by Diversity Inc.
The Chicago Community Builders Collective (CCBC) is a minority-led construction partnership that includes a joint venture partnership of minority and women-owned businesses as the majority: Brown & Momen, d’Escoto, Inc., Gilbane Building Company, Milhouse Engineering & Construction, Inc., Powers & Sons, Riteway-Huggins Construction Services, SQN Associates and UJAMAA Construction Inc. As the General Contractor for the Bally’s Chicago Casino Project, we will work with Bally’s local compliance consultant
to meet or exceed the City of Chicago goals of 36% MBE and 10% WBE participation with
the City of Chicago and Cook County certified businesses and the residency requirements of
50% City and 15.5% SEDA.
