Dr. Charner Rodgers is a nationally recognized leader in engineering, construction management, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). With over two decades of experience spanning public infrastructure, residential and commercial construction, and higher education, she has held transformative roles including National Director of Business Diversity for U.S. Restaurant Development at McDonald’s Corporation and Executive Director of Square Foot Ministry. As the founder of CLR Enterprises, Dr. Rodgers has advised Fortune 500 companies, educational institutions, and nonprofits on DEI strategy, recruitment, and workforce development. She also serves as the fractional Chief DEI Officer at Bolst Realty and holds multiple licenses and certifications, including Real Estate Broker, OSHA Trainer and General Contractor.
In academia, Dr. Rodgers has served as an Associate Professor and Interim Department Head at Tuskegee University, helping the institution gain national recognition, including a first-place win at the NAHB International Builders Show. She has secured millions in grant funding, led international presentations, and developed curricula across several universities. A Nashville native and second-generation builder, she blends hands-on industry experience with academic rigor to champion inclusive practices in construction and education. Dr. Rodgers holds a PhD in Architecture from Georgia Tech and serves on several national boards, including National Association of Home Builders.
