Darnell Crenshaw, CSP

Assistant Regional Administrator, OSHA

Darnell Crenshaw is a seasoned occupational safety and health leader with more than three decades of experience advancing worker protection across both the public and private sectors. As the Assistant Regional Administrator for Cooperative and State Programs in OSHA’s Chicago Regional Office, Darnell oversees strategic initiatives that strengthen hazard prevention, expand outreach, and promote employer and worker awareness of their rights and responsibilities.

Since beginning an OSHA career in 2003 as a Compliance Safety and Health Officer, Darnell has held multiple senior positions in OSHA’s National and Regional Offices. Darnell’s work has helped shape policy development, program implementation, and stakeholder engagement efforts nationwide. In addition to leadership responsibilities, Darnell has served as an instructor at the OSHA Training Institute, contributing to the training and development of safety professionals across the country.

Before joining OSHA, Darnell spent more than a decade as an environmental safety and health consultant. Darnell holds a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Safety and Health from Northern Illinois University and maintains certification as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
