As the Illinois Works Pre-Apprenticeship Program (ILWPP) Senior Program Manager at the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) Dan Martinez oversees the operations of the Illinois Works program that provides pathways to careers in construction and the building trades. Since 2022, the ILWPP has offered thousands of diverse participants the opportunity to gain valuable pre-apprentices skills and earn much needed apprenticeship readiness certifications. Dan has led key programmatic and financial grant management programs within the ILW Pre-Apprenticeship Program and is dedicated to ensuring Illinois has a diverse pipeline of talent to fill the state's construction needs.
