Chris Johansen
Chris brings over 15 years of hands-on experience in construction management, with a specialized focus on CLT (cross-laminated timber) high-rise residential projects. His expertise covers the entire project lifecycle—from preconstruction, evaluating scope and preparing detailed proposals, cost estimates, and budgets to developing strategic plans that ensure profitability and client satisfaction.
Chris served as the Project Manager for Ascent MKE, a 25-story, 284-foot mass timber hybrid apartment building in Milwaukee, Wisconsin—currently the world’s tallest mass timber structure. He also played a key advisory role in The Baker’s Place project in Madison, Wisconsin, a 14-story mass timber mixed-use development that will add 206 homes to the area.
Currently, Chris is the Senior Project Manager for 1005 N Edison, a premier multifamily development featuring 378 luxury rental apartments located along the Milwaukee RiverWalk in the heart of downtown. The Edison not only caters to the high-end housing market but also raises the bar for sustainable building design through its innovative use of mass timber.
