Benjy is a Design Principal in Gensler Chicago’s Lifestyle studio, providing deep expertise in mixed-use, retail, and hospitality. Benjy’s recent project focus has involved complex and large-scale repositioning efforts—most notably the transformations of Chicago’s beloved Navy Pier and iconic Willis Tower. He played significant roles in delivering the new McDonald’s HQ in Chicago’s West Loop and the Johnson Controls Asia HQ in Shanghai, which is a LEED Platinum building and the most sustainable of its kind in Asia. Throughout his 27 years with the firm, Benjy has worked in five Gensler offices—San Francisco, San Jose, New York, Shanghai, and Chicago.
