Alex Tanguay is a seasoned professional with a diverse background implementing innovative technology in the AEC industry. His career started as a project engineer on a mega project in San Francisco. As a VDC engineer, he coordinated cutting-edge projects across Silicon Valley, leveraging various construction technology tools to drive efficiency and innovation. In the modular space he developed a 3D coordinate metrology solution placing hundreds of 3,600-pound modules with precision. Later, as an owner's representative and BIM consultant, he provided strategic oversight and technical guidance on a 7D VDC project, seamlessly integrating facilities management data into the model. Currently, as an R&D Manager, Alex spearheads advancements in digital twins, robotics, reality capture & XR, leveraging his passion, innovative vision, and expertise to push the boundaries of technology in the built environment.
