Senior Design Leader, Alejandro Stochetti AIA, is building an impressive body of international work in all scales and typologies. He embraces the challenges of highly prominent projects with global exposure as well as of smaller ones with their own transformative potential. Alejandro has been the senior designer in a wide variety of projects ranging from the megatall Jeddah Tower in Saudi Arabia to the typologically diverse Astana Expo2017 in Kazakhstan. His built projects include residential, commercial, and cultural typologies; from Burj Vista, a two-tower residential complex in Dubai to Energy Hall and Congress Center, two cultural facilities in Astana completed in 2017.
More recently Alejandro lead the Al Wasl Plaza project, the centerpiece of the Expo2020 Dubai where nature seamlessly integrates with state of the art technologies and a culturally inspired shade structure to offer a new typology of urban space and social interaction.
Before joining CannonDesign, Alejandro was a senior designer at Skidmore Owings & Merrill, where he was involved in the design and development of Burj Khalifa in Dubai, Las Vegas Tower in Las Vegas, Wind and Garden Tower in King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) in Saudi Arabia, and the Suzhou Convention and Exhibition Center, in China. His experience includes work in the Middle East, Europe, Asia, North America, and his native Argentina.
