Steel is being erected for the four-story Tiny Giants Early Learning Center mixed-use project on the southwest corner of California and Montrose Avenues in the Horner Park neighborhood. Concrete cores are also popping up toward the north end of the construction site as work goes three-dimensional.

SEEK Design + Architecture has drawn up plans for a four-story building that will incorporate Tiny Giants on the first and second levels, with 24 residential units occupying the two upper floors. There will be a 23-space surface parking lot on the south end of the site. The permit to start building was issued on February 22 of this year with LG Commercial on board as the general contractor.

Three commercial buildings, including Ruby cleaners on the corner, were demolished over the winter to clear the site for redevelopment. The new building is addressed in the construction permits as 4340 North California Avenue. Go to Chicago YIMBY for further details!
