Crane Removed From Salesforce Tower Chicago At 333 Wolf Point Plaza In River North

Now standing its final height of 850 feet, the 60-story Salesforce Tower in River North has now removed its tower crane. Well on track to reach completion by next year, this glassy skyscraper at 333 Wolf Point Plaza will be the city’s 17th tallest skyscraper. It will also mark the final installment in a three-part megadevelopment by Hines known as Wolf Point. Located at the confluence of the Chicago River, this scheme also includes a 500-foot apartment tower known as Wolf Point West, as well as a 679-foot apartment tower dubbed Wolf Point East.

With the CRM tech giant Salesforce as the anchor tenant, the 1.2 million square feet of programming will be primarily office space, with the exception of retail and dining in the base. Office floor plates will span 25,000 square feet, and will include flexible build-out options and floor-to-ceiling windows offering sweeping city views. Common spaces will include amenity spaces such as a fitness center, a conference center, and a tenant lounge.

Pelli Clarke & Partners is the project architect behind the tower, its neighboring Wolf Point East, as well as the overall masterplan. Both Salesforce Tower and Wolf Point East share similar architectural elements, such as glass curtain wall facades, tapered rectangular massings, and prominent corrugated metal crowns. Where Salesforce Tower differs is in its lack of white metal fins along the glazing, as well as an overall bulkier appearance that caters to the large office floor plates.
